In response to a letter to the editor in the Nov. 5 St. Louis Call defending Trump’s reaction and listening skills regarding the coronavirus, Markus Schwarz stated, “It is important to be rational and not let our hatred blind the truth.”
OK, so to find the truth I Googled “what did Trump know (about COVID-19) and when did he know it?”
Per
factcheck.org, on Feb 7, 2020, Trump stated to Bob Woodward “… this is deadly stuff.”
Yes, Mr. Schwarz, it is important to be rational, but not let us settle for half-truths.
A little more research on your part (about five minutes’ worth) perhaps may have changed your comment “I believe Trump did the best he could with the information he had.”

MSD has a bond issue, Proposition Y, on the ballot. Voters will decide how they want to pay for upgrades required by the federal government: Pay as you go, in which case rates will be much higher, or a bond issue, in which rates will still rise but not nearly as much.
The St. Louis Call took home multiple awards this fall at both the news-centered Better Newspaper Contest from the Missouri Press Foundation and the advertising-centered MPAME (Missouri Press Advertising and Marketing Executives) annual contest showcasing the state’s best ads and ad designers.
Call Editor Gloria Lloyd took a first-place award for Best Story About Education for “Assignment makes world headlines,” an article following up on a story after a Mehlville School District teacher gave an assignment asking students to set the price they would sell themselves for as a slave.
The judge commented, “Well-balanced reporting on a sensitive issue. The reporter presented the facts without sensationalizing the event bravo.”
