TRIBUTES have been paid to the late Robert Gerald (Gerry) Dickie, 96, following his death at the weekend. The popular Enniskillen businessman passed away on Sunday following a short illness. He recently celebrated his 69th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Christeen, in November. He was lovingly remembered by his children – Leslie, Lynda and Ann – when they spoke to The Impartial Reporter about their father and his life. Lynda said: “We will miss his terribly, but we have great memories to look back on. He had a great sense of fun, especially with his grandchildren. The children all remember how he used to come into the bathroom when they were small, with a yard brush, and ask if they were ready to get their backs scrubbed!”
