The BFI is funding two industry leaders to provide a range of resources to help industry tackle the climate and ecological crisis. Julie’s Bicycle and BAFTA albert have been awarded £586,755 of National Lottery funding over three years (2023-2026).
From total of £14.7 million BFI National Lottery funding for skills, initial roll out sees £8.1 million to six partners across the UK to lead BFI Skills Clusters, and £1.5 million to ScreenSkills to provide bursary support for skills development.
The BFI is using £9.6m of National Lottery funding over three years to support skills development and training across the UK, through national and regional Skills Clusters, which include London and the South East.
Funding will now focus on bringing screen culture into classrooms, deliver local grassroots activity in disadvantaged communities, support entry level practical courses and guidance to help build careers.
