Many were surprised at the recent news the Italian lottery operator was joining the race for the UK’s National Lottery. But its bid has been some time in the making, international business development director Camilla Folladori tells Joanne Christie.
Over the past couple of years, speculation has been rife about potential bidders for the UK’s fourth National Lottery licence, with everyone from Richard Branson to Tabcorp reported to be mulling a bid.
But despite the large number of names being thrown about – some of which were likely nothing more than unsubstantiated rumours – the latest company to officially throw its hat in the ring seems to have taken most by surprise.
Greentube wins major tender to supply Luxembourg National Lottery with omni-channel solution
11th May 2021 - Greentube, the NOVOMATIC Interactive division, has won a highly competitive tender to supply the state-owned National Lottery in Luxembourg with its omni-channel solution, Greentube Plurius.
The contract will see Greentube provide its Greentube Plurius technology to Loterie Nationale Luxembourg, enabling the lottery to combine its land-based, online and mobile VLT gaming operations and significantly strengthen its existing offering.
With Greentube Plurius, B2B suppliers, casino and VLT operators can connect their land-based terminals to the core system and retrieve games that are then played on an online game server. Greentube, a B2B service provider that is part of the larger NOVOMATIC Interactive group, has emerged as the winner in a highly competitive tender to supply Luxembourg’s state-run Loterie Nationale with its omni-channel solution, Greentube Plurius.
Luxembourg’s National Lottery selected Greentube as the winning bidder in an extensive public procurement process that included a number of other leading providers of omni-channel lottery software.
Greentube has won a seven-year contract with the option for it to be extended for a further five years. This contract will see the provider’s Greentube Plurius solution power the lottery agency’s operations and will enable it to
