Before COVID-19 crept into town like an unwanted tourist, food courts were a major feature of the dining landscape in New York. They were a perfect meeting between smaller, newer food operations and the lower square footage (and cheaper rents) that these spaces often entailed. But the very communality that food halls championed, which often required patrons to crowd in and sit close together, were their downfall when the pandemic approached. Now, many are closed, and others have reopened with fewer vendors, limited hours, and strict rules enforced, challenging their community-minded, gathering-place aspirations.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock Police Department Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating a crash that occurred shortly after 2:45 a.m. Jan 31 at Los Tacos, located at 3501 Ave. A.
Minutes after a vehicle theft in progress was dispatched, an officer observed the stolen vehicle traveling eastbound on 34th Street near Avenue L.
The officer turned around to initiate a stop, and the vehicle immediately began to evade. The vehicle went through a parking lot on the southwest corner of 34th Street and Avenue A and collided into a street lamp and a fiber optic box.
David’s Catfish House bringing express restaurant concept to Daphne this spring

The newest David s Catfish House location is coming to Daphne, Alabama this spring, according to Benson Ross, franchise manager. It s the first express restaurant of its kind for the chain.

A new business is on its way to the Highway 98 corridor in Daphne, one that might be especially familiar to people who grew up down in south Alabama.
David’s Catfish House will open their first David’s Catfish Express location at the old Los Tacos restaurant at 28991 US-98 in April, if all goes according to plan, said franchise manager Benson Ross.
