Located just off of Highway 170 between Thermopolis and Meeteetse, the 350,000-acre ranch is home to rich Wyoming heritage and history for the Arapaho Tribe. And, of late, it’s been undergoing a revival.
August 27, members of the public will have a rare opportunity to visit the historic Padlock Ranch first developed for livestock in 1867, now operating as the Arapaho Ranch.

Event co-organizer Popo Agie Conservation District had a raffle, and also has a pretty great lineup of free summer workshops on June 12th at the CWC Alpine Science Institute in Sinks Canyon.

(Statewide, WY) – The Wyoming Arts Council is pleased to announce a new initiative: a Native Art Fellowship.
For years, the Wyoming Arts Council has hosted annual fellowships for the visual, literary, and performing arts that are merit-based and juried by professionals from outside the state.

This year, the Arts Council is also offering a Native Art Fellowship. Structured similarly to the other fellowships, the Native Art Fellowship is an unrestricted $3,000 award that is open to Native artists based within Wyoming, across any artistic discipline or medium (visual, literary, performing, folk & traditional, etc.) This fellowship is designed to raise the profiles of the highly talented Native artists in Wyoming and celebrate their artistry.
