Aldborough Public School in Rodney is looking to the community for donations toward constructing a new sign for the school.
The new sign is meant to be a Full Colour Electronic Messaging Center. It would allow the information shown on it to rotate and be changed electronically instead of physically.

“Aldborough P.S. is an important pillar of the West Elgin Community with a staff that work hard every day to make the school a great place to learn and grow,” said principal David Fife. “Our new sign will make it easier for us to communicate messages to everyone.”

Organizers of the West Elgin Festival of Lights are reporting more than 1,600 visitors over the two days of the event at the Rodney Fairgrounds.
Trisha Pearson from the West Lorne Optimist Club said there were about 560 participants on Dec. 4 and almost 1,100 on Dec. 5.

“The goal of the Festival of Lights committee was to bring some fun and holiday spirit to our community during what has been a challenging year,” Pearson said in an email. “It was very rewarding to see so many people enjoying themselves.”
