The Loris Planning Commission voted unanimously on Thursday, April 25 to send an update of the city’s long-range comprehensive plan to the city council for approval. The document, titled Loris Comprehensive Plan 2040, is expected to be on the agenda when the city council meets on May 6.
Loris city officials will be focused on finishing what they started in 2024. From updating the animal ordinance, addressing flooding issues, replenishing the police car fleet and finalizing planning documents, city officials will tackle a full slate of issues carried over from 2023.
Loris is one step closer to approving an updated comprehensive plan to help guide growth in the city through 2040. City planners held a mandated public input session on the plan at city hall on Thursday, Nov. 30 following the Loris Planning Commission’s monthly meeting.
