Mountain and Hammer dulcimers will be jamming with the workshop instructors, Dona Benkert, Pam Bowman, Lorinda Jones. Other string instruments are welcome.
An “all-American” instrument that originated in the Appalachian Mountains – with some lineage tying back to Europe – will headline a two-day festival this weekend.
Dona Benkert, Pam Bowman, Lorinda Jones and Tom Garrett will be teaching workshops including the mountain and hammer dulcimer, jaw harp, old time banjo and mandolin. Box lunches need to be ordered by May 1. There will be time for open mic and some jamming followed by a third workshop and a short concert. There is a cost for the workshops, so please register.
