People fleeing gender-based violence will be able to find safe housing more quickly, thanks to a first-of-its-kind Manitoba and federal government program, the province says.
The Manitoba government is providing nine community-based organizations with up to $1.7 million from the Journey to Independence Fund to deliver programming that will support Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) participants to pursue meaningful employment.
