In this edition of
Tech Travels, I am going to consider that the same could apply to regulatory technology (‘regtech’) and compliance in advice and wealth, and that anyone wanting squeaky clean compliance should ‘sit at the front’.
By that I mean they should let the regulator have a constant and comprehensive view of their files.
Fans of cruel classroom stereotypes will be amused to learn that the company trying to make this a reality is Canada-based Four Eyes Financial. The ‘Four Eyes’ does not refer to a bespectacled nerd – nor does it refer to our own ‘four eyes’ compliance rules.

Lori Weir, director of Administrative Services and Projects at Michigan Tech, recently stepped down from her position on the Calumet Village Council due to issues with the budget for FY 2022.
CALUMET Lori Weir, who resigned from the Village Council last week, for what she says are violations of the Village Budget Ordinance (No.119), as well as violations of the Michigan General Law Village Act, and the Michigan Compiled Laws (MCL), continues to battle the council for what she said, is the council’s ignoring the will of the people who spoke at a public budget hearing last Tuesday.
