The 2023 Fall season was another successful one with teams around the county winning section titles in every sport cross country, girls golf, girls tennis, girls volleyball, and water polo.
The fall postseason has been narrowed down to its usual suspects the football teams from San Marin and Marin Catholic, plus a number of state qualifiers in cross country.
“I prefer the high-pressure situations where the game is tied, or it’s close,” said goaltender Keeled Sullivan as her Archie Williams High team heads to the NorCal semifinals on Friday. “But we can’t let that pressure consume us. It’s just more fun.”
Marin Academy’s evolution took a giant step forward Saturday with the program’s first North Coast Section girls water polo championship. The top-seeded Wildcats defeated MCAL foe Tam, 12-6, for the NCS Division II crown at Acalanes High.
