BELPRE Belpre High School has named its Students of the Month, Samantha Gainer and Logan Lowe.
Gainer is the daughter of Jamie Gainer.
She is in the marching band, is a student ambassador at the Washington County Career Center, is class president at the Career Center, a member of the National Technical Honor Society and is involved with Students Solving Problems at Belpre High and the Career Center.
Gainer is an honor roll student and is in the high school No. One Club. After graduation, future plans include attending Cleveland State University as a business major on a pre-physician assistant track.

Stress related to not achieving one s life goals was linked with a higher risk for rapid kidney function decline in African Americans, researchers reported.
In an observational study that included 2,630 participants from the Jackson Heart Study, those reporting high levels of goal-striving stress (GSS), versus low levels, were 60% more likely to have rapid decline in kidney function (IRR 1.60, 95% CI 1.11-2.14,
