The East Carolina University School of Music (SoM) âBandoramaâ was livestreamed on April 22 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and featured the SoMâs Concert, Symphonic and Symphonic Wind ensembles as they played a wide range of pieces that ranged from dark and dramatic to tropical and joyous.
âBandoramaâ began with a few words by the Concert Bandâs conductor, Coordinator of Graduate Studies and professor of Instrumental Band Music Education, Jay Juchniewicz. The band began with âGabrielâs Oboeâ from âThe Mission by Enio Morricone arranged by Lorenzo Pusceddu. Eliza Norman, a sophomore music education major, played a solo on oboe, and the melodramatic tune flowed well from her instrument.
