Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana, PNP spokesperson, said the 31-year-old Advincula was the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Immaculada Concepcion Ylagan-Galang, presiding judge of Manila Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 17, for the crime of perjury. His recommended bail was set at P18,000.
However, Advincula surrendered to Daraga Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Albay around 12:35 p.m. Thursday.
“The CIDG [Criminal Investigation and Detection Group] Provincial Field Unit of Albay served the warrant of arrest against Advincula, who was subsequently placed under custody of Daraga MPS after undergoing the mandatory booking procedure and documentation,” Usana said.

Atty. Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon said that the sedition case against former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and his co-accused, including Advincula, over their involvement in the video series is still pending before the Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) Branch 38.
“Perjury is too early to tell as the evidences in the main case would serve as a prejudicial question as to the truth and veracity of the allegations which are the cause of action in the perjury case,” Gadon said on last week’s filing of a perjury case against Advincula before the Manila MeTC.

The Department of Justice (DoJ) has filed a perjury case against Peter Joemel Advincula, alias “Bikoy,” over lies he allegedly stated in his testimonies concerning the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series.
The DoJ filed the case last Jan. 12 before the Manila Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) after finding probable cause to indict him with perjury based on the complaint filed by Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) lawyers former Quezon Rep. Lorenzo “Erin” Tanada, Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno, and former Supreme Court (SC) spokesperson Theodore Te.
“After a careful examination of the above affidavits and evidence attached thereto, the undersigned finds that there is sufficient evidence to conclude that the crime of violation of Articles 183 of the RPC (Revised Penal Code) has been committed,” the DoJ said in a resolution signed by Assistant State Prosecutor Ferdinand Fernandez with the approving signatures of Prosecutor General Bene
