Queen Elizabeth s goddaughter has revealed some of the secrets surrounding royal protocol.
Victoria Pryor, who is the Queen Mother s great-niece, and the daughter of Margaret Rhodes, spoke about the dos and don ts when staying with royal family during a new documentary titled The Queen and her Cousins, which aired on UK channel ITV on Monday.

Queen Elizabeth s goddaughter has revealed the some of the secrets surrounding royal protocol.
Victoria Pryor â who is the Queen motherâs great-niece, and the daughter of Margaret Rhodes â spoke about the dos and donâts when staying with royal family during a new documentary titled âThe Queen and her Cousinsâ, which aired on ITV on Monday.
Speaking to documentary host Alexander Armstrong, Victoria said the family are just âordinary peopleâ and revealed how many times guests are expected to âcurtseyâ when in the presence of the monarch.
The Queen s goddaughter has revealed how the monarch would ve loved to have just been a country woman with her animals - and gifted her Twister and Winnie the Pooh books as a child.
Victoria Pryor, the Queen Mother’s great-niece, admitted: I mean the Queen would ve loved just to have been a country lady with her animals.
She appeared from her Norfolk-based home on ITV’s one-off documentary The Queen and Her Cousins with Alexander Armstrong this evening.
Victoria’s mother was Margaret Rhodes, one of the Queen s closest friends as well as a bridesmaid at her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947.
The Queen s cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten has opened up about his marriage to his husband James Coyle, a Glaswegian airline cabin services director.
This evening the couple will appear on ITV’s one-off documentary The Queen and Her Cousins with Alexander Armstrong and discuss one of the reasons behind their marriage.
Lord Ivar, son of the 3rd Marquess of Milford Haven and third cousin of the Queen, admits he pushed James to wed, explaining: I wanted to validate him and give him a position as it couldn t have been easy being Ivar Mountbatten s boyfriend .
The aristocrat farmer, who spent lockdown at his family s Grade I-listed home, Bridwell Park, near the village of Uffculme in Devon, with James, his ex-wife Lady Penny and their three adult daughters Ella, Alix, and Luli, made headlines when he became the first member of the extend royal family to have a same-sex wedding.
