Welsh independence: More people in favour, Plaid say

Mr Price said independence would put Wales on a better path . But Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas said a referendum now would not be wise . Mr Price said: We are not going to be able to put Wales on a better path, on a better trajectory, without independence.

Gwynedd s Ysgol Abersoch future sees Senedd candidates clash

Charlie Evans described the move to shut Ysgol Abersoch  as “the latest example of the Council’s policy of closing rural schools.” Gwynedd Council is currently consulting on a statutory notice to shut the 10 pupil Ysgol Abersoch, citing an “unsustainable” future due to falling numbers and the resulting high cost per pupil. If the decision to shut goes ahead, from September 2021 the pupils will be offered daily transport for the 1.4 miles journey to Ysgol Sarn Bach.

Famous Llanfair railway to receive £138k

The Llanfair to Welshpool Light Railway THE Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway has been successful in accessing recovery funding from the Welsh Government. A total of £138,000 has been earmarked for the Llanfair Line from the Cultural Recovery Fund which will help secure its future into next year. The fund was set-up earlier in the coronavirus pandemic with the aim of supporting music venues; recording and rehearsal studios; heritage organisations and historic attractions; accredited museums and archive services; libraries; events and their technical support suppliers; independent cinemas and the publishing sector. All were able to bid for a share of £18.5 million.
