The category 3 hurricane packing 120mile per hour winds and we are feeling its impact kicking up here with major gusts, pelting rain and all power getting knocked out. Hurricane matthew barreling toward florida. The intensifying as the eye of the storm pummels coastal cities. Overnight violent winds along the beaches, gusts in some places clocking in at above 70 Miles Per Hour. The storm bringing the look and sound of fireworks in the form of downed power lines, thousands facing outages. Officials fearing up to 3 million may end up in the dark. The National Weather service saying matthew will be unfortunately this is going to kill people. Reporter already it has. Matthew taking the lives of more than 100 people as it swept through haiti. Role of ohio in the 2016 election. I have written a book with my colleagues called buckeye battleground. It is not technically outofprint but i think copies are hard to find by this point. Although you can always go to amazon and get a copy. We started with this idea, why is ohio a battleground state . If you have paid attention this year, you may have heard now and then someone saying that ohio will not be the decisive state in this election. Id like to have about what makes ohio a battleground state or not, and factors that will push the state one way or the other. Hopefully at the end i will give some perspective of where the future lies with regard to ohio politics. Let me get started here. Her neighbors. They tell me it started with a fight. A lot of yelling and screaming crashing in class and things breaking. Reporter 22yearold luis jimenez wrestled the phone away from his girlfriend to stop her from calling 911. He punched her three times in the face in front of her three Young Children and then followed her out of the house with his car. I was walking in the next thing i know i see a car down the road. He came up in our yard. We thought he was going to hit our halloween decorations. Truck multiple neighbors say they watched jimenez try to mode her down with his car twice. She escaped by jumping into the back of his pickup truck and that is when two neighbors stepped in to protect her holding a concealed carry permit it handgun. Jimenez saw the gun and pulled away. We dont know what he wouldve done. He wouldve kept trying. Truck one neighbor took the home until police were able to arrest him late sunday night. It was a terrible incident with a silver lining.
