Demolition is scheduled to begin within the next couple of weeks on the remaining structure of the Phillipsburg Mall, a spokeswoman for ownership/management confirmed Friday.
The full tear-down of the mall straddling the Lopatcong Township-Pohatcong Township border is estimated to be complete by the end of June.
Leases were terminated last year for most of the remaining tenants of the mall, owned by Namdar Realty Group and managed by Mason Asset Management. Some of the stores have found new life elsewhere, including Black Rose Antiques & Collectibles reopening as the Phillpsburg Antique Mall and Spin Me Round relocating to the Palmer Park Mall.
