The supervisors unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday affirming their intent to call for the special election. Some supervisors wanted to call for the election after a recent political shakeup may soon leave the influential City Attorney post open - although they may not have time to get the city’s top lawyer on the ballot. The election could also include ballot measures, as well as a vote on the Assessor-Recorder after Mayor London Breed appointed Joaquín Torre
