Usually covering Long Wave, Medium Wave and sometimes several Short Wave bands of frequencies, with a good aerial stations from all round the world could be picked up. I used to listen to radios like this that were left over from grandparents' belongings, and I could happily listen to all the latest records from the USA. I never did get the coveted Eddystone short wave receiver, but of course I have the Internet now. Such is progress!
The US Navy's E-6B Mercury strategic command aircraft. Northrop Grumman, which is vying to provide the US Navy's E-XX Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) strategic command aircraft, recently announced that its team includes Lockheed Martin Sku.
