After his election as transition President to complete the residue of the unfinished tenure of President Sata, President Lungu has brought about some reforms towards foreign policy.
His Government has embarked on what was known as “economic diplomacy” which basically meant that international relations were to be used as the means tor mutual economic benefits.
Partnerships were to be established between Zambia and its allies and how the ripple effect can benefit the Zambian citizens. The Lusaka decongestion project is among the projects that were initiated out of economic diplomacy.
Within the last 1 year, President Lungu has commissioned 4 fly-over bridges which have been constructed through a joint venture with the Indian Government.

Labour Commissioner, Givens Muntengwa says government is aware of the hardships experienced by several companies due to COVID-19, thus has devised measures to ensure that operations continue safely.

Plans have now been submitted for more than nine million sq ft of business and industrial space on Teesside s former steelworks site in a major regeneration milestone.
PLANS for the regeneration of a former steelworks site have taken a step forward after an application for more than 780 acres of land was put forward. Proposals for more than nine million sq ft of business and industrial space, the region’s biggest ever planning application, have been submitted for the former SSI site in Redcar – now known as Teesworks – across an area of land as large as the City of London. If the plans come to fruition, it is hoped they will create up to 11,400 jobs in Teesside.
