Lord Byron Distillery’s Pure Single Rum was awarded a gold medal in the London Spirits Competition in April this year, obtaining a score of 92 out of 100. This score was the highest score for any rum entered from Australia with Lord Byron Distillery being one of only six distilleries in Australia to achieve a gold medal for any spirit type at this prestigious and highly competitive contest.

For example, we handpick foraged blackberries from the Oxfordshire hedgerows for our Signature London Dry and use Blenheim Palace natural mineral water for an exquisite finish. Every full-sized bottle is hand signed with the name of the day’s distiller. Drinkers feel a direct link to the source of their gin.

The London Spirits Competition looks to recognise, reward and help promote spirits brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific spirits drinker.
Spirits were judged on the basis of three primary criteria and WL Distillery scored highly in the three judging aspects of quality, value and packaging.
