Harry Kane has admitted winning individual awards is bittersweet while Tottenham continue to come up short in their bid for silverware.
The England captain started the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday but could do nothing to stop Pep Guardiola s side from lifting the cup for the fourth time in a row, meaning he is still trophyless throughout his entire career.
Kane is currently en route to winning another Premier League Golden Boot and was announced as the Premier League Player of the Year at the London Football Awards on Tuesday night.

“Nobody wants to lose their job. But when you go into this career, it can happen, no matter how good you think you are.
“It’s given me a lot more time to be at home. It’s been great to be around the family.
“I’ve had some opportunities that have come up in the last six weeks, two months, that have been flattering, but not the right thing. They were not quite right,” Lampard said.
