Charlotte Latvala: Don t talk to me until I ve had my tea
Charlotte Latvala
“What did you get?” I asked my daughter, who had just walked in from Starbucks.
“This,” she said, gazing reverently at the cup in her hand. “This is … amazing. A London Fog Tea Latte. Why did I never know you could put milk in tea?”
“Well, the Brits have been doing it for years,” I said, generously sharing my knowledge of tea, which is basically that British people drink it every time they socialize. At least on “Downton Abbey” and “The Crown.”
I myself am a longtime tea drinker, trained by a Canadian mother who weaned me on the stuff. (I imbibe in coffee too, but it’s tea that has my heart, soul and a good chunk of my brain.)
