School will remain online for the rest of the school year Premier Ford announced Wednesday. To keep COVID-19 numbers down, the province believes keeping kids out of classrooms is what’s best right now, with the hope that by September the kids can return in person learning.
Linda Staudt, the Director of Education for the London Catholic District School Board said that they were hoping that they could go back to in person learning, but they also understand why it has been decided they won’t. Staudt also said that if this short term pain means that by September things are going back to normal, then it would be great. Though they are aware of how difficult it’s been for students.
