Two people were killed and four others were injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on Dhaka-Mawa Highway in Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj today.
The deceased were identified as Lokman Hossain (30) of Munshiganj s Louhajang upazila and Shah Jalal (35) of Shariatpur s Sakhipur, reports our local correspondent.
Both deceased were ridesharing service providers by profession.
Sreenagar Fire Service Station Officer Dewan Azad said the accident took place in Keuatkhali area around 1:45pm.
Lokman died on the spot while Shah Jalal died on the way to the hospital, said fire service official.
‘Shishu Bokta’ Rafiqul on 7-day remand in DSA case

A virtual court in Dhaka today placed Rafiqul Islam Madani, widely known as Shishu Bokta , on a seven-day remand in a case filed with Motijheel Police Station under the Digital Security Act.
Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufiyan Md Noman passed the order after Kazi Md Nasirul Amin an inspector of Cyber and Special Crime Unit of Detective Branch of police, and also the investigation officer of the case submitted a 10-day remand prayer.
During the hearing, the magistrate sent a virtual link to the jail authorities of Kashimpur High-Security Jail and passed the remand order witnessing the accused virtually.
