commissioner testified that lois lerner kept the records, a hard copy, her lawyer says she didn t. didn t know she was supposed to. is this a serious problem or is this a distraction from going forward and trying to get to the bottom of this? i tend to think it s more of a distraction, if you will. it s entirely possible that somebody else was keeping the records. lois was a senior official. she had a lot to do and maybe somebody else was printing off the emails if that s what the standard was. the her here though is for me, at least, is always the failure to keep congress can apprised of what was happening with the production of the emails, greta. that s what the real mess here is, i think. there is obviously this gap in not having all the emails and it s just very unfortunate they weren t produced or that this wasn t revealed, if you will, many months ago. you know, i have the sense from the outside, it s like pulling teeth trying to get information out of the irs. trying to get

going on a year ago. john koskinen around christmas. this should have been resealed back then if you. i think the weirdest red flag with lois lerner is the email exchange where she had gotten an invitation tore senator grassley and she wanted to send it for an examination her colleague her off the ceiling for that one. what in the world does she think she is that aggressive about that to me, that s the strangest thing. that ised because what happened in that case, greta, was apparently that email came into her mistakenly. it was for senator grassley. and it said that we ll also take care of having your wife accompany you. there is nothing wrong with that it would oblige the senator though to record that as income when he filed his return. again, there is no problem. all you have is a taxable event. it s like saying hey, greta has a new job. let s audit her because she has a new job. you don t do that you wait to see if greta filed her tax return. that s the weird part.
