wild shores of singapore: East Coast Park with possible dugong feeding trails

East Coast Park with possible dugong feeding trails There is a shallow lagoon at East Coast Park which has slowly been taken over by seagrasses. Today, I return for the first time in 5 years to find a lovely seagrass meadow teeming with marine life. And saw possibly some dugong feeding trails! We also quickly checked up on Bedok Jetty earlier. My first time back to this shore since Jun 2016! There is now a long and wide sand bar next to the canal mouth. Which seemed to have formed a calm shallow lagoon for seagrasses and other marine life to thrive.

wild shores of singapore: Pulau Salu with NParks

Pulau Salu with NParks Pulau Salu was surveyed on 28 Apr 2021, as part of NPark s Southern Island Biodiversity Survey. Pulau Salu requires special permission to visit as it lies near the Live Firing Islands. So it is not part of my regular surveys. It was good to see that the rocky island is very much alive. Photos by Loh Kok ShengVolunteers shared photos of what they saw. It was good to see that the rocky island is very much alive. With lots of sharks! As well as the usual other marine life seen on similar shores. Here s the location of Pulau Salu, north of Pulau Sudong. Also indicated in the map, Terumbu Pempang Tengah and Terumbu Bemban, which we surveyd in the same low tide cycle.
