Missing Linden man found safe January 12, 2021 12:01 PM Logan Rude Updated: LINDEN, Wis. An Iowa County man who went missing has been found safe Tuesday. Officials with the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Stephon A. Jordan’s last known contact was by phone on Saturday when Jordan said he was in Madison with acquaintances from Dodgeville not known to his family. The Linden man’s family had little contact with him since Friday, which they said was unusual. According to a news release, Jordan has cognitive issues and is usually in contact with his family via phone. Jordan was found safe Tuesday afternoon, according to an update from Iowa County dispatchers.

Photo courtesy Mercyhealth JANESVILLE, Wis. Mercyhealth started vaccinating its frontline workers Tuesday afternoon, just hours after receiving its first shipment of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. The Janesville-based health care provider received 1,950 doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, 375 of which were delivered to Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center-Walworth. Nursing teams began vaccinating employees at 2:30 p.m. and plan to continue administering vaccines for the next few days, according to a news release. As of 8 p.m., 478 employees had been vaccinated, according to a team spokesperson. Dr. Imdad Ahmed, an electrophysiologist at Mercyhealth, was the first one to get vaccinated at the hospital.

Dr. Barnes began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer in 2000 at the Greensboro Police Department in North Carolina and moving up through the ranks to captain. Most recently, he served as the deputy police chief in Salisbury, North Carolina before accepting a position in 2020 as Director of Training and Professional Development for the Civilian Office of Police Accountability in Chicago. News 3 Now has reached out to the attorney for Madison’s Police and Fire Commission for more information, and is awaiting comment.
