When the state of Ohio Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization decided to hold the 93rd State FFA Convention as a virtual event this year, a group of agriculture teachers and FFA advisers from around Northeast Ohio region put their heads together and came up with a way to bring kids together to celebrate.
The result was a two-day FUNvention held Thursday and Friday, Apr. 29-30, at Harvest Ridge. West Holmes agriculture educator and FFA adviser Jaime Chenevey engineered the event.
Chenevey reached out to about 10 FFA advisers two months before the event and they met weekly through April, coming up with a list of events and presenters, including U.S. Congressman Bob Gibbs.
