If you noticed some rather questionable fashion statements in Gulfport over the weekend, don’t worry, it was all for the Ugly Tie Fest.
The free festival brought food trucks, vendors, and live music to the streets of Downtown Gulfport on Saturday. It also encouraged festival goers to bring out their ugliest tie for the event.
The event was originally scheduled for Father’s Day Weekend, but was postponed because of rain.
Although, the event was fit for the whole family, it was catered towards dads with a vintage motorcycle show and the ugly tie contest.
A majority of the festival was rain free, much to the delight of local business owners, festivalgoers, and event organizers. District on the Alley Manager Logan McBride said, “It’s been pretty rough the last week because it rained pretty much every single day. So, it’s good to see everybody out here to get a chance to drink, see motorcycles, and have a good time.”
