In a statement from Logan Fraser, director of marketing and communications for the league, the SJHL is making plans for “a full return to play for the 2021-22 season.” The SJHL will continue efforts to work with the province to ensure appropriate protocols are in place, and expressed optimism that fans will be able to return to arenas. But according to the news release, the league acknowledged mandatory masking and social distancing may need to be in effect. On a related note, the Battlefords North Stars have announced a number of player signings in the past week, in anticipation of playing the 2021-22 season.

Some children will be receiving gifts this year, however, thanks to the kindness of a twelve-year-old boy from Dundee.
Logan Fraser raised more than £200 to buy Christmas presents for a local children’s charity by opening his own online sweet shop.
Originally, Logan planned to sell sweets to raise cash to buy Christmas presents for his family.
He succeeded with that but instead of stopping there, he realised he could help local charity Help For Kids with their Christmas Appeal. He raffled off sweet boxes and cones and generously passed the money their way.
