At Bree Wheeler's (Lexa Doig) funeral, the remaining Wheelers are falling apart; Logan's (Devon Sawa) behaving more and more like his dead brother Luke (also Devon Sawa) every day, and Junior's (Teo Briones) practically comatose with grief. Jake (Zackary Arthur), meanwhile, is distracted by all things Chucky and Devon Evans (Bjorgvin Arnarson), who's mourning the loss of his own mother, Detective Evans (Rachelle Casseus), in the previous episode.
After the events of the previous episode, the kids of Hackensack have landed in the local hospital. Jake's (Zackary Arthur) feeling some understandable guilt over his part in unleashing Chucky on the Cross household, and as he's checking in on Junior (Teo Briones), Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and little Caroline (Carina Battrick), that's when Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) confronts him to ask about Chucky.
