For decades, Swansea has played second fiddle to Cardiff when it comes to putting on major live music events. Whilst we see one, maybe two major gigs take place a year on average at the likes of Singleton Park or the Liberty Stadium, for the most part the music fans who live here and further west regularly find they have to travel at least an hour if they want to watch their favourite band live, often spending a fortune with the added hotel and travel costs involved.
