Sibec wrapped up its North American event last week in Phoenix at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa, welcoming 80 buyers and 81 vendors (comprised of 145 representatives) for one-on-one meetings and networking time.
“This year’s Sibec was one of the first in-person fitness industry events since COVID-19 began,” said Rob Shannon, events director, Sibec. “It’s easy to forget how important standing in a room with others is until you can’t do that. The one-of-a-kind modern mansion known as the Sundial has returned to shine on the San Diego-area real estate market, now with an adjusted price of $6.9 million.

First came Shop Small Saturday - the annual American Express and MainStreet tradition that shines a nationwide spotlight on independent retailers. Never have Coronado businesses needed your patronage more and it was an absolute delight to hear local retailers buzzing about all their happy customers - as Colette of Geppettoâs Toys marveled, âOur sales soared so much it felt like Christmas Eve!â
Then came the bad news - another lockdown. Although all Coronado retail will remain open at a 20% capacity throughout the next three-week period, shopkeepers know that foot traffic will be reduced by the lack of outdoor dining and the reduced workforce on the island. Fortunately another surge was on the way - and this time it was the positive kind!
