JAMMU, June 15: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today constituted a three members committee to look after the affair of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) in a meeting in which Retd Brig Anil Gupta (Senior BJP leader) has been appointed Administrator while two other members including Sunil Sethi who is also BJP spokesperson as legal expert and Mithun Manhas a veteran cricketer as a member.
The development regarding formation of the committee was confirmed by the newly appointed Administrator of the JKCA, Retd Brig Anil Gupta with Excelsior.
He disclosed that a meeting was held under the leadership of BCCI president Sourav Ganguly in presence of secretary BCCI Jai Shah and treasure Arun Dhumal wherein three members committee including him were part of the committee to look after the day to day affair of the JKCA.

HCA tussle takes a new twist; all eyes are on AGM

The tussle over the appointment of an Ombudsman cum Ethics Officer in the Hyderabad Cricket Association has taken a new turn with the Telangana High Court upholding the appointment of Justice Deepak Verma, retired Supreme Court judge, for the post.
Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao delivered the order setting aside the order of a lower court which had suspended the earlier appointment of Justice Verma.
It may be recalled that last year Mohammad Azharuddin, President of the HCA, had written a letter to Justice Verma referring to his consent to be appointed to the post of Ombudsman cum Ethics officer for a period of one year from the date of taking charge. HC Puts JKCA Elections In Abeyance
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir high court on Tuesday ordered that the conduct of the proposed elections of the office bearers of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) shall remain in abeyance.
Reserving its orders on a number of appeals filed by various parities including City Cricket Club, Srinagar and Others, a bench of Justices Ali Mohammad Magrey and Puneet Gupta also directed that till the final decision in the matter, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) so appointed by the court shall only look into the routine day to day affairs of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
