Henry Board of Education presents new E-SPLOST 6 project list

Voters will be asked to approve the 1% sales tax in March. The $322 million project list was developed based on community feedback and priorities and the results of the classroom utilization study. The study used current classroom space, county population trends, historical and current enrollment and housing trends to determine where new schools will need to be built as well as adding classroom space at current schools. The project list includes two new elementary schools — Wolf Creek and Willow Lane — and a STEM high school. Additions are planned for Dutchtown Middle and High schools, Ola Middle and High, Locust Grove High and Union Grove Middle.
