The Lockhart Independent School District has changed the notification protocol of its crisis response strategy following what it calls a "gap in the notification procedure" relating to threats made to Lockhart High School Thursday.
In Lockhart, a board of trustees voted for raises for teacher through a voter approval ratification election in November, a move they say will bring in $3 million all while decreasing the school tax rate. Lockhart ISD superintendent Mark Estrada joined FOX 7 Austin's Mike Warren to discuss.
Both the southbound and northbound lanes of State Highway 130 were shut down Friday due to a nearby grass fire, according to the Lockhart Police Department.
