Red Cross helps three people impacted Lehigh Acres home fire

The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District responded to a kitchen fire in the Westminster neighborhood last Tuesday.
According to Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District spokesperson Katie Heck, three people were impacted by the blaze, including two children.
“We did respond to a kitchen fire on Locke Lane at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 5. The residence was unoccupied; a neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke coming from the residence. The cause of the fire is still undetermined at this time,” Heck said.
Local American Red Cross volunteers from the Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland Chapter responded to the home fret assist and coordinate emergency aid to those affected.
