along to customers, so they look for technology to reduce number of workers, cut their hours. that s what you re seeing at mcdonald s and wendy s. at the same time unions who have been pushing all of these minimum wage increases are saying they want to be exempted from it. i think it doesn t make any sense unless you hypothesize they re really not about workers welfare, they re about power and dues for themselves and this is a way to gain market share by being able to junt cut the new legislative minimum. they re saying to employers, hey, you don t have to pay the $15 an hour if that worker joins this union. that s basically it, isn t it? that s our hypothesis because it s very bizarre behavior, isn t it? you have unions saying you have to make these wages higher, well, except for us. why do they not want higher wages for their own members? what they really want more than worker welfare, worker income is dues. and the more members, the rich earp the unions get. dan, an interesti
employees. the taxpayers are not going to put up with it anymore. we re going to see it in california in a big way. we re already seeing it in a certain way. the taxpayers just don t want to keep paying public service employees more than they get paid themselves. i m a union member. i sympathize with the public service worker. i love teachers, firemen, policemen, firefighters, police people. but i don t want to see republican lawmakers houses getting stormed. i don t want to see that kind of illegal behavior. the basic theme here is, we have a real problem. let s handle it like grown-ups and not like spoiled children like the tea partyiers and the goons from some of the teachers union, maybe their friends are planning to handling it and are handling it in wisconsin. let s handle it in a
people that are speaking and pay attention to what the thousands of people who are turning out are having to say. what they don t want is their rights trampled on, their rights to organize as a union and they don t want this debt to flow to the middle class in wisconsin. senator, everyone is curious to know where you are all. but are you and your colleagues together or are you sitting around and playing chess and jeopardy or have you had contact with the governor. we have tried to reach out to the governor but unfortunately we have not been able to talk to him. we are all out of the state. i can say that. some of us are together. we re not all in the same place. we ve never all been in the same place at the same time. so, yeah, we are still south of the border. we re still waiting to hear from the governor and the legislature to see if they are actually willing to listen. unfortunately what we ve heard is that yesterday they were kind of being polite about it.
