Deputy Political Leader of the United National Congress (UNC), Dr. David Lee, says voter turnout in five districts for the Local Government Bye-elections has been slow.
He made this comment after voting at the Crystal Stream Government Primary school, today, Monday 25 January 2021.
“I’m in tune with what is happening, and the turnout so far has been very low; slow even here at this polling station,” Lee said.
However, the Pointe-a-Pierre MP said he has received no reports of irregularities and from what he saw, COVID-19 protocols are being adhered to.
“Nothing [irregularities] so far and we don’t expect anything, but you never know what could transpire at the end of the day,” he said.
