Hundreds more buildings considered for registered status

More buildings could be granted protected status before the end of the current administration. It follows three sites being saved from demolition earlier this month after being deemed historically important. Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot says there are arguments for hundreds more buildings to be preserved. He spoke to Local Democracy Reporter Chris Cave:

Bee Gees statue to be unveiled in Douglas

The most successful Manx pop group in music history is set to be honoured with a life-size statue in the capital. It’s been confirmed a sculpture dedicated to the Bee Gees will be unveiled in Douglas as soon as the border restrictions are lifted. Born on the Isle of Man, the trio are famed for hits such as Stayin’ Alive and Tragedy, selling more than 120 million records worldwide.
