Principal rural fire officer Bradley Shanks is encouraging the public to share their views on their local fire plan. Last year the service received feedback from the community and partner agencies during a formal consultation trial in Northland, Hawke’s Bay and Otago. Manawatū’s principal rural fire officer Bradley Shanks said it was important for the public to share their views on the fire plan in their region. “It will help for when we should implement our fire restrictions and when to lift them. The more people that respond the better quality plan we will have.”

Schulz is a full-time working wife and mother with what she calls a “passion for volunteering and strengthening our public education system.”
“As a candidate for MCSD school board, I feel it’s important to share what I have been involved in over the years,” Schulz said. “I was an active volunteer at (Indian Valley Elementary Center) for five years and served as board president for two years of the IVEC home and school association. I attended the annual PA Title I convention in 2016 and I’ve been a member of the district’s Local Advisory Committee since 2017. I have attended all school board meetings since January 2019 and continue to do so.
