Zamboanga City Health Office (File photo) ZAMBOANGA CITY - The city health office has recorded 12 additional cases of Omicron variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) here but all have recovered. Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, said Wednesday they received the results of the new cases on February 11 coming from the Philippine Genome Center. "With this, Zamboanga City now has a total of 29 identified Omicron cases with the first 17 detected cases reported last February 3," Miravite said. Aside from the new Omicron cases, the February 11 genome sequencing result also included one new Delta variant case for the city, Miravite said. She said the report indicated the presence of Omicron, Delta, Beta, and Alpha variants. "Just like the 17 Omicron cases reported last February 3, all the new cases identified have recovered," she added.
