Winnipeg police are investigating three separate unprovoked stabbings that occurred over the weekend two that happened during robberies and one on a city bus.
The first incident took place around 2:45 a.m. Saturday.
Winnipeg police responded to the St. John s area where a 35-year-old male had been pushed off the bike he was riding by a male suspect and robbed of his property.
The man was also stabbed during the incident.
The victim was able to return to his home and police were contacted. The victim was then taken to hospital in unstable condition.
The man s condition has since been upgraded to stable.
The second offence occurred around 24 hours later, on Jan. 31 at 2:18 a.m.
Winnipeg police responded to the area of Lizzie Street and Alexander Avenue. A 22-year-old man had been in the area with his girlfriend when he was approached by a male and two female. All three were unknown to the victim.

Police said a 35-year-old man was knocked off his bike and robbed in the 500 block of Aberdeen Avenue at 2:45 a.m. He was stabbed during the incident but was able to make it home and call police. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition, but later upgraded to stable. The second incident on Saturday happened on a Winnipeg Transit bus. At 8:51 p.m. WPS officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Main Street and Logan Avenue. They found a 16-year-old male suffering from a stab wound.
