Liz Phair Releases New Song Hey Lou Wednesday, 10 February 2021
Liz Phair has returned with her first new song in two years, Hey Lou.
The tribute to Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson is driven by acoustic guitar, while its accompanying Toben Seymour-directed video stars puppet versions of the two icons.
Produced by longtime collaborator Brad Wood, the track follows the Chicago-based singer-songwriter s 2019 single Good Side, and serves as the latest preview of her forthcoming album, Soberish , a release date for which is to be announced. She said: Have you ever wondered what love looks like for your favorite celebrity couple behind closed doors? Hey Lou imagines a day in the life of two music legends, whose union was an inspiration for rock bands and a source of curiosity for die hard romantics.
