Israel's military actions, termed potential genocide by the International Court of Justice, have claimed thousands of lives. Yet, with Israel's looming ground assault on Rafah, fears mount that civilians may be pushed into Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. Egypt, however, adamantly refuses to accept large numbers of Palestinian refugees, citing historical, political, and security concerns.
