Plans for $30m development next to Strand Hotel progress

Premium Content Subscriber only Paperwork is progressing for the $30m residential and retail development near The Strand Hotel on the Yeppoon foreshore. Mint Apartments was approved for development by Livingstone Shire Council in early 2020 for a seven storey, 45-unit complex. An artist s impression of what the new $30m development next to Yeppoon s Strand Hotel would look like. The complex will include food and drink outlets, retail shops on the ground level, two levels of car parking, top-level penthouses a rooftop pool deck and a tennis court. The existing foreshore buildings from the bottle shop to Queen Street, including the brick holiday unit building with Jet James Art Gallery on the ground floor and the Lure Living cafe, will be demolished as the development will be built on this site.

Yeppoon vets lodges plans again to expand clinic

Premium Content Subscriber only A Yeppoon veterinary clinic has lodged plans to extend their clinic with more surgery and treatment rooms, animal wards and an imaging room. Acacia Veterinary Clinic at 40 Normanby Street, Yeppoon, submitted the plans earlier in the month to Livingstone Shire Council. The material change of use development permit was previously approved however the approval has since lapsed and a new application was required. Plans for the extension at Acacia Veterinary Clinic The proposal included an extension to the existing building with an additional 109 sqm to the GFA and more carparking at the rear of the site.

Five new stages planned for Yeppoon residential estate

The developers of Tara Park Estate have lodged plans this month to Livingstone Shire Council for 23 news lots at their Taranganba subdivision. The new stages, stage A (realignment), stage B, stage 10B1, stage 10B2 and stage 10C, are in Carbeen Drive, Banskia Place and Macranga Place. The lots vary in size from 786m2 to 1122m2 and will be connected to town water and services. Ross Creek runs along the western side of the subdivision in the neighbouring land. The subdivision is mapped accordingly around the waterway and vegetation. The new stages are connected to previous stages and provide for the full construction of Carbeen Drive linking to the residential subdivision to the south.

Livingstone: Work to start on million dollar developments

A new car wash is also underway at Hidden Valley, near KFC and the hospital. Plans for office buildings at 76 Queen Street, Yeppoon, were submitted to council by Real Earth Development and are pending approval. The floor plan for the proposed creche includes a staffroom, bathroom, laundry, store rooms, office, reception, breakout room, sleep nook, kitchen, cleaners, general learning area, amenities and outdoor play areas and spaces. Another child care centre is in the approval process. The 155-place child care which would employ 22 staff, has been proposed to be built at 9 and 11 Tanby Road, Yeppoon. Plans were submitted in April and is under council review.

Developers push for new stages at Rockyview estate

Premium Content Subscriber only The developers of the well established, residential estate north of Rockhampton, Paramount Park, have lodged plans for six more stages. The developers lodged plans to develop one lot off the Bruce Highway at Rockyview into 37 new lots for the stage 7A to 7F. The new subdivision has been designed to be consistent with the existing estate. No road works have been proposed in this application and will be done so in the operational works proposal. All lots will have access to a newly constructed road. The site has existing approvals from January 2017 and October 2020. The new lots vary in size from 4041 sqm up to 6842 sqm.
