COVID-19 UPDATE: Wyoming County to offer home vaccination clinics; active cases decline in two counties

The Wyoming County Department of Health is beginning to coordinate home visits for vaccinations. Wyoming County residents unable to get to a community vaccination location due to illness, disability, age or transportation difficulties, is encouraged to call NY Connects Wyoming County at (585) 786-8833. A nurse will then contact the individual to schedule a time to come to the residence to vaccinate the individual, and caregiver or family members, the health department said in a news release Thursday. Wyoming County is offer a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. May 20 at the First Congregational Church, 7209 State Route 20A in Perry. The clinic will offer the single dose, Johnson & Johnson vaccine for anyone 18 years and older.

CANANDAIGUA UR Medicine Thompson Health is holding what it’s dubbing an “After Party” for New Yorkers 18 and older to get the Moderna vaccine after work. It’s being held on Monday, April 12 from 3:45 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. at F.F. Thompson Hospital at 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua. Click here to register for the clinic.
